And it’s not the one you’ve been told.
Alma chapter 47 reads like a modern-day description of how Donald Trump has beguiled the hearts of many of the Latter-day Saints. The chapter details how Amalickiah usurped control over the military through treachery and deceit, promising to share power with his goons, how his servants murdered the people’s leader and then framed the innocent servants through his underhandedness.
It is a story of exploitation: Amalickiah disseminated false claims with the aid of his inner circle of murderous servants with their loud voices to plant false claims of conspiracy (v. 25-26), poisoning the minds of the people and the military command and control structure “by degrees” (v. 18) in order to hijack and subordinate the entire military on the gullibility of the people.

How did Amalickiah’s movement begin? It was by making false promises to “go after” the supposed enemies of the people, even planting discord and creating enmities that did not previously exist, and hijacking the movement of the people’s warranted discontent with past administrations. Through his pressure and wiles, Amalickiah promised the military commander Lehonti revenge and power over his oppressor, the king. That promise proved fatal as Amalickiah’s true purpose was to murder both Lehonti and the king, and use the military to seize absolute political control.
Amalickiah tempted Lehonti with power and revenge, but betrayed him lethally without hesitation. Does this sound familiar? The MAGA movement has been tempted with the exact same siren song of revenge and power over their enemies, using illegitimate means–which should have been enough to warn them that their cause was not just and their methods were not ethical, but somehow, in his foolishness, Lehonti chose to trust a traitor, an impostor whom he already knew was a double-crosser. Pausing to consider this history could have saved his life, but Lehonti was beguiled by the promise of revenge and power, seemingly shortcutting the part of his mind that should have sensed danger and refused the Amalickiah’s obviously dishonest offer. Trump’s propaganda through the Q psyop (a “secret embassy”, v. 10) and through his media campaigns have been relentless in tempting the people around a supposedly “unifying” message offering only a constant buffet of hatred for their enemies (Alma 48:1-2).

True to the form and substance of the ancient secret combinations, Trump has rallied and recruited the people militarily to pursue after and attempt to exterminate the innocent. Just after his fait accompli of murdering his opponent,
“Amalickiah pretended to be wroth, and said: Whosoever loved the king, let him go forth, and pursue his servants that they may be slain.” (v.27)
There is an uncanny echo in this in the constant pretending of Trump’s cadre online and through the media that “the patriots are in control” to go after the bad guys. Like Amalickiah with his appointed speakers and influencers from the towers (48:1-2), Trump’s recruiting station for deleting innocence through revenge is open 24/7.
“and thus Amalickiah, by his fraud, gained the hearts of the people.” (v. 30)
Through his Q psyop (which is eerily reminiscent of the Soviets’ Perestroika, rebranded to appeal to a newly disenchanted proletariat through controlling the opposition), Trump was named second in command to build trust. Servants of his clandestine operation went about poisoning hearts, minds and bodies, stirring up animosity and distrust, tempting with power, and galvanizing resolve to partake wittingly or unwittingly in their murders and thefts. As with Amalickiah’s attempted conquest of the Nephites through wars which lasted for many years, Trump’s administration has named practically everyone as an enemy, and promised public executions and military maneuvering as the cure. By the admission of self-styled “patriots” who have partaken of his hideous plan, taken to its conclusion it would leave very few alive. This is all part of the plan and anyone who takes a minute to reason through it as Lehonti should have done can put two and two together and realize that they are on the chopping block as well.

And so it was with Amalickiah. Despite all of his professions to care about the plight of and promises to share the spoils with his recruits, Amalickiah “did care not for the blood of his people” (Alma 49:10). The real effect of Amalickiah’s movement was mutually assured destruction of both Lamanite and Nephite alike.
Trump’s recruitment is already horrifically doing the same through a constant bloodbath of treason and backstabbing. America’s youth and middle aged are being recruited to go and fight on the front lines in unconstitutional wars against an enemy constructed out of cardboard to lure good people into inflicting collateral damage onto good people in other nations and even within their home country. This is the spirit of war, the spirit of destruction, or in other words, the spirit of their master Satan the devil himself.
Exactly as was the case with Amalickiah, Trump has sworn “vengeance” upon his supposed enemies, eerily echoing Amalickiah’s rash promise in Alma 49:27, in which he swore to “drink the blood of Moroni”.

No sooner than Amalickiah had murdered and displaced previous military leadership and usurped the kingdom by murdering the king and debauching the queen than he immediately began to abduct and recruit the native people to go and fight his foreign wars of conquest for his own self-aggrandizement.
“Trust the plan” – Donald Trump is described in Alma chapters 47 and parts of 48, but shares far more in common with Amalickiah than he does with Captain Moroni.
